Paper bags can be printed directly. Offset printing is used for high volumes and color accuracy, flexographic printing for high volumes with simpler designs, and digital printing for low volumes and personalization. You can print only the outside, only the inside or both; brand colors are matched with Pantone and metallic Pantone.

Gloss or matte lamination, soft-touch coating, gloss or matte water-based varnish and spot UV can be applied over the print. Hot foil, embossing and debossing are the most popular details to make the logo stand out; for example, a gold foil logo on a matte-laminated black bag is the classic combination for luxury store bags.

After approval, the paper is printed and finished, the bag is cut and folded, the base and gussets are formed and the handles are attached. The finished bags go through burst, peel, water absorption (Cobb) and tear strength tests. The average lead time is 25–28 days; it may vary with order quantity and shipping route.

The main price factors are bag size, order quantity, paper type, printing method and the number of printed surfaces (outside, inside or both), lamination and finishes, and the handle type. As the quantity grows, tooling and print setup costs are spread over more bags, so the unit price drops noticeably.
