Pantone
Formula-based pure spot color. Consistent, precise brand color across runs.
- Spot color consistency
- Brand identity protection
- Combinable with CMYK
Overview
Pantone (PMS) spot colors are pre-formulated pure ink mixes that print brand tones in a single pass. Unlike CMYK simulation. They keep logos and corporate reds/blues consistent run to run. On offset they run as a separate unit; digital usually simulates them. Rigid box wraps often combine CMYK with one or two Pantone spots to protect brand identity.
