Oil-Based Inks
Oil and pigment. Classic high-quality offset color. Less eco-friendly than water or soy systems.
- High color saturation
- Classic offset compatibility
- Broad process experience
Overview
Oil-based (solvent / mineral oil) inks are long-standing formulations in classic offset lithography. Pigment carry and saturation are strong, but VOC and sustainability lag water- or soy-based alternatives. Still used for certain substrates and color-critical jobs. When brands prioritize eco goals, we lead with water-based or soy ink plus a suitable coating stack.
